Mâché Equine & Canine is Sulphate, Silicone and Paraben Free. Sulphates are harsh on skin and hair, so they strip away natural oils and moisture. They can cause a number of problems including itchiness, drying, irritation and even hair loss. Parabens act as a preservative in shampoos and other products. Parabens are xenoestrogens which means they have a similar composition to hormones found in our bodies. Xenoestrogens are thought to disrupt hormones and can even pose as a cancer risk. Silicones are almost like a rubber or plastic, it is essentially acting as a sealant against both water and air and prevents moisture from penetrating the hair shaft. Over time, silicone can build up, resulting in a dry feel and dull appearance. You may even notice that your hair becomes weaker and more prone to breakage.
